The admissions procedure is designed to provide parents with the opportunity to learn more about the school, it’s philosophy and policies and its people. We think of it as enrolling families, not just students, and our goal is to find families who will both benefit from and contribute to what the school has to offer.
Students are enrolled for the school year in September, although exceptions can sometimes be made, space permitting. Most of our students start with summer camp in July and phase in to the school year in September. Attending summer camp, children get familiar with the school and have friends when they walk into new classrooms.
It has been our tradition that all new students are offered one week of orientation at no charge.
The admissions procedure is as follows:
- Parents take a tour of the facility and are given a registration packet.
- Parents complete the application and return it with the registration fee and one month tuition deposit to be used for the last month, June, of the child’s schooling to the Freehold Montessori Village Preschool
Tuition may be paid in one or 10 installments due the first of each month. A $25.00 late fee will be added for tuition paid after the 5th of the month. Since the financial obligations of the school are on a set schedule, the withdrawal of a child does not reduce our operating expenses. Therefore, if a child is withdrawn, for any reason, after the 1st of the month, no part of the tuition paid for that month will be refunded. Illnesses, vacation or any kind of absence will still have to pay full tuition. Tuition is due regardless of attendance. Tuition may increase each September.
